Remembering Damo

Remembering Damo

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of much-loved Hornsby local Damian Peter Dunn, affectionately known as Damo.

Born on 14 August 1971, Damo grew up in Hornsby Heights, attending Hornsby Heights Public School and St Leo’s and playing soccer for the Hornsby Heights Hornets. He left school in Year 10 to begin an apprenticeship, becoming a qualified fitter and turner. After spending time in regional NSW, he eventually returned home to Hornsby.

Damo proudly called himself the black sheep of the family — although to his dear mum Judith, he was always Damian.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Hornsby Inn from 12pm on Saturday, 8 August. Damo’s family, friends and members of the local community are welcome to join us as we come together to share stories, raise a glass and remember him.

The Hornsby Inn will also be collecting donations for Mark Gaff Counselling on behalf of the Dunn family. Anyone wishing to contribute can donate at the pub, with every contribution greatly appreciated.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Damo’s family, friends and everyone who knew him. Rest peacefully, Damo. You will be deeply missed, and may the VB with no head live on in your memory.
