Mothers of Rock – Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

Mothers of Rock – Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

Friday 17 October | From 8PM

This October, join us at the Hornsby Inn for a night of music, community and hope as we rally behind Shazz, the powerhouse lead singer of Mothers of Rock – a band that has been rocking our stage for more than a decade.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this special show will raise funds to support vital breast cancer research and clinical trials.

Shazz’s Story

“I was diagnosed with metastasized stage 4 breast cancer in September 2022. It’s the most frightening thing you can hear – that you have cancer.

What men and women endure through endless rounds of treatment – scans, weekly blood tests, chemo, radiation, medications – plus the side effects of nausea, exhaustion, pain… it turns your life upside down. Your family goes through hell, never knowing what’s next, and you feel like a burden even though you’re fighting with everything you have.

We call ourselves Warriors. Thank goodness for music and my band, which keep me motivated and give me moments of fun in the middle of it all.

That’s why fundraisers like this are so vitally important. They give hope. They fund new clinical trials. They bring us closer to a cure.

I’m fighting the fight of my life, along with so many others.
Fuck you cancer!!” – Shazz

How You Can Help

We’ve already had an incredible $1,000 private donation to kickstart the fundraiser, and on the night you’ll have the chance to support further by entering our raffles and auctions, including:

  • Farm Fresh Meats $150 vouchers.

  • A signed drum skin from The Radiators, generously organised by Marc from the band.

Every dollar raised goes directly to breast cancer research – giving hope, funding trials, and helping fight the disease that touches so many lives.
